I am an artist from Leipzig, Germany. I studied oil painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan. Currently I’m working from my art studio back in Leipzig.

I began my studies with Japanology and Musicology at the LMU University of Munich, but later switched to the Academy of Fine Arts / AdBK München, where I studied Oil Painting with Prof. Karin Kneffel and graduated with a diploma in 2017.
With the help of a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), I enrolled at the Tama Art Unversity 多摩美術大学 in Tokyo from 2013 to 2014.
Two years after, I won an award at the Japanese speech contest held by the Embassy of Japan and was able to travel back to Japan for another month.

After graduating, I moved back to Leipzig and was regularily traveling to Japan thanks to working as an educational tourguide, while also working as a freelance artist. My artwork and painting style been strongly influenced by Japanese art and my close relationship to the place that has grown to feel like a second home.
